Help us raise $150,000 by June 30 to build 21 sanctuary islands for unreleasable orangutans.

Kept illegally as a pet for most of his young life, at 4 years of age, Kopral attempted a daring escape. After climbing an electricity pole, Kopral was severely electrocuted and left for dead – it truly was a miracle that he survived. When brought to the BOS Foundation, Kopral had severe burns to most of his body and sadly, both his arms had to be amputated.

But Kopral has shown incredible strength and resilience and now, at the age of 16, is living his best life on one of our sanctuary islands. He has freedom and a natural environment to roam, yet can be easily protected and cared for by staff for the rest of his days. But we still have many other unreleasable orangutans, who also deserve a dignified life, free from a cage.

With your help today, we can start the development of 21 sanctuary islands, as well as expand and update the current long term enclosures for those that require ongoing protection and care. These innocent orangutans may never experience the true freedom of being released back to their homes, but you can give them the next best thing.

Donate today and have your gift matched - dollar for dollar - up to the value of $25,000. There has never been a better time to give!
