WE NEED TO RAISE $50,000 TO RELEASE TEN ORANGUTANS
Will you help us create a Christmas miracle?
We have a beautiful opportunity for you to support our cause this festive season. Many more rehabilitated orangutans are desperately waiting in cages for their release, and our rescued orphans urgently need a helping hand to overcome their trauma and learn to survive without their mum.
Create a Christmas miracle by opening a cage for an orangutan.
A release is a mammoth undertaking. It requires months of planning and preparing for the trip to the remote release sites deep in the Bornean rainforest. It is the culmination of a lengthy and challenging rehabilitation process, and it is teamwork that makes the dream come true. You are part of our team. Without people like you, we couldn’t release a single orangutan, as it can cost between $5,000 and $10,000 to release just one.
This Christmas, you can open a cage for an orangutan and change their life forever. We want to raise at least $50,000 to release ten more anxiously waiting orangutans into their wild home.
Kejora's story is a heartwarming example of what you can make possible. BOS rescued the little female at an oil palm nursery facility in February 2016, where the team found her chained to the door of a room full of fertilisers and pesticides. The tiny, weak and frightened orangutan was only 1.5 years old and had been held captive in this terrible situation for six months. But look at her now! After seven years of rehabilitation, Kejora is free, thriving in her new home in the Bukit Baka Bukit Raya National Park.
Will you help us make more dreams come true?
