Our famous and fabulous jungle school student BIG BOY BENI and seven of his friends took a huge step on their journey to freedom! They moved to a forested pre-release island in the Salat Island cluster in Central Kalimantan, Borneo.

After successfully graduating from Forest School, Beni and his friends are now ready to tackle their final steps towards a free life in the Bornean rainforest, where they belong.

On the island, they must prove to our staff that they can indeed go it alone - independently from humans, like true wild orangutans.

To be able to take care of our island bunch in the best way possible, we kindly ask you for your support!

We have to provide supplemental food, monitor our students progress and make sure they stay healthy. And we need to prepare the next generation of Forest School graduates for their upcoming move.
